With the rise of antique counterfeiting it has become essential for antiques to be appraised. Fake antiques, including paintings and jewelry, have been invading markets and many people have been fooled. Now the 2nd. Annual Antiques Appraising Weekend will take place in Norwalk, Connecticut October 3 and 4, at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum. The event is also being held with the sponsorship of the American Society of Appraisers. The appraising will begin at 11:00 am and continue all day. It is a great opportunity for all owners of fine antiques to meet with the appraisers that day.
