New Highs for Technical Antiques

Not fazed by the global financial crisis, Auction Team Breker registered high prices and good sales in its recent auction of technical antiques last November 22.

Among the items that it sold in new highs are the World War II cipher machine, "Enigma", which was bought at a new high of $38,735; and the original US patent model by C. Winter, Piqua, Ohio, the "Improved Adding Machine," which was sold at $46,480.

Birchwood Manor Antiques Show

Antique enthusiasts and collectors flocked to New Jersey at the Birchwood Manor Antiques Show.

The Show, which has preserved a tradition of holding its show right after the New Year, featured antiques such as furniture, china, works on paper, glassware, coins, and a lot more others. 130 dealers participated in this year's show.

Antique show reduces fees for vendors

Businessmen in Brimsfield, Massachusetts who plan to participate in the upcoming Brimsfield Antique & Collectibles Show may have something to be glad about. A new resolution passed by the show's board made it effective to cut down the previous $30 vendor permit fee to $20.
